Range. China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Thai­land, and Vietmam. In Myanmar, found in Bago, Kachin, Mandalay, and Sagaing.

Use. Plant used as a febrifuge (no specific part given in Perry 1980).
Note. On the Malay Peninsula a cold decoction of the leaves is used as a  lotion for an ulcerated nose (Perry 1980).

Throughout the greater part of India, along the banks of rivers and streams.

Action:

Dried leaves—antiinflammatory, given in rheumatism, swellings, piles.

Bark—febrifuge.
